What I've got for my sugar sister here is another goddess blouse, simple and comfy, perfect for everyday wear. These blouses can be worn with or without a top underneath, making them perfect for the transition of the season.
To make the top, I used a textured organic cotton gauze. I then used the same fabric to make a braided belt by tearing strips along the fabric grain, to give the belt an organic feel. I then appliqued an Earthy rainbow yarn twist along the belt. I repeated the yarn detailing along the v-neck, armholes, and side slits, to add a bit of subtle detail.
The blouse is fitted on the mannequin with dressing clips, so please note that the fit is larger than it appears in the pics. The overall circumference of the bustline is 42 inches, creating an ideal fit for someone 36-40 at the bust. The length of the garment, from shoulertop to bottm hem is 27 1/2 inches, and natural waist measures 48 inches.
Hey there Earthy mamas...what I've got for you here is a simple and comfy everyday top made from vintage print calicos in burnt sienna, chocolate brown, dusty blue, cream, and tan. The bodice yoke is made from a chocolate corduroy, where I cut a piece of the striped calico to make a small trim. The front yoke has two cowrie shells and a heart shaped camel bead dangling in the front. I will supply a washing bag to protect the beads in the laundry. The sleeves flair out fro a comfy everyday fit, and I trimmed them with a subtle cotton lace. The bottom of the blouse bells out to 60 inches. This blouse will fit a S/M. The blouse measures approximately 41 inches from armpit to armpit and 22 inches from shoulder top to hem.
Hey all...many thanks for stoppin' by! What I've got for you here is a super comfy Earthy closeback apron. To make the apron, I used a variety of earthy hand dyed fabrics, corduorys, hemp linen, and recycled sage green cotton for the tiered bottom. The patchwork on the bodice consists of 17 patches for each anvil! The bodice has a stashy pocket inside and it is completely lined with thick oatmeal muslin. The apron is closed at the back for you shy lil' violets, and it ties at the shoulders for a more precise fit. The ties are finished off with wooden batik beads. The bodice measures 38 inches round, fitting someone 34-36 at the bust. I'd say it would best fit a Medium/Large. The blouse is double tiered and measures 27 inches from bodice top to hem. The bottom tier is 88 inches round!
"Tibet" Scalloped Halter Apron
Ooooo mamas...need somethin' a little sexy and comfy? Check out this lil' sexy thing! To make the halter apron, I used a nice light weight organic cotton twill, and for the applique work, I used a chocolate hemp linen. I then dyed the tank chocolate brownie. The blouse has a small roo pocket at the front and a hemp stash pocket inside at the neckline. The blouse V's into a halter, which makes those broader shoulder look much more feminine. At the front of the blouse, I appliqued an itricate scroll pattern. I then repeated a coordinating pattern around the bottom of the blouse and scalloped the edges! The blouse has elastic at the back and is darted at the bust for a nicer fit. This blouse will fit a S/M/L. The blouse measures approximately 40 inches completely stretched and 32 inches unstretched. The length of the blouse, from the top of the halter V to bottom scalloped edge is 15 1/2 inches, and the bottom bells out to 41 inches.
Hey there mamas...what I've got for you here is a cute little piece that can be worn as an apron or a skirt! Wear the butterfly corset at the front as a top or at the back for the skirt! The base of the skirt/apron is made from a drapey narrow waled violet blue all cotton corduroy. The butterfly corset was made from a grapey purple corduroy with batik accents. At the center of the butterfly, I made a corset type closure to create a comfortable custom fit. There are two side flap pockets that enclose with mother-of-pearl buttons. The corset is 34 inches from loop to loop and adjust to fit someone 34-36 at the waist or bust. The center piece has a panel of fabric that darkens from light lilac to grape. The length of the apron/skirt from midbodice to hem is 29 inches, and the bottom of the blouse bells out to 76 inches. This blouse will fit a S/M. The blouse measures approximately 41 inches from armpit to armpit and 22 inches from shoulder top to hem.
OoOoOoOo mamas! Check out this goddess poncho! To make the poncho, I used a beautiful lightweight organic cotton knit with a large weave, along with cotton linen, cream cotton weave, mustard twill, an earthy floral cotton duck, and a deep olive cotton gauze. The front panels fall in layers and is adorned with cowrie shells. The yoke has cotton crochet lace and braided twine trim that continues to fall past the yoke. I finished off the twine braids with wooden beads. The blouse allows for easy movement...super comfy, yet you'll feel like a goddess! You can wear it alone or over a long sleeved top, too! The blouse is open at the back, where it ties to fit. It is a free size, but I'd say it would best fit someone 32-36 at the bust. It measures 26 inches from shoulder top to V-center, and ties under the arms for a secure fit. This blouse should fit a S/M.
"Monkeys in the Vines" Blouse
Oh, this top turned out so adorable. Sorry for the poor quality pictures. I wish they'd tell a btter story! To make this blouse, I used a delicious cotton vine print in Earthy tones, with a complimenting brown cotton fabric covered with cute lil' monkeys! The blouse yoke folds down at the collar and ties at the front. The tank sleeves can be worn folded or unfolded, as they are lined with the contrasting monkey fabric. I also quilted around the sleeves, to give it a tad more flavor. There are two rounded pockets at the sides to hold any goods you might need to carry. The blouse bells out as it comes to the waist. It measures 36 inches around the bust, and 45 inches around the bottom. This blouse would best fit someone 31-35 at the bust or a S/M. This blouse would be great over a long sleeved top, too!
What I've got for you mamas here is a SUPER comfy kurta blouse made from organic heavy weight homespun cotton and hemp/cotton linen for the appliqued tree detail. I dyed the finished piece, sandstorm...a vibrant tan, with a hint of a pink hue.
As I began sketching the tree for the back, I decided to wrap the tree's branches around the shoulder and collar of the blouse ! It just kept growing, I swear! On the trunk of the tree, I stitched some bark detail. To finish up the blouse, I added leave details to the split sleeve cuffs and split hem. Much, much love and time, straight from the heart and soul on this one.
The blouse measures 44 inches across the chest, fitting M-XL. I'd say it would best fit someone 34-39 at the bust most comfortably. The length of the blouse is 30 inches from shoulder to hem. The sleeve length measures 25 inches from shoulder-top to cuff. This fabric and cut makes the kurta SUPER comfy and easy to move in. Yet another everyday wear.
Hey there sugar sisters! Check out this lovely lil' number. I'm so happy with this one. This blouse is so cozy and comfortable and very flattering when worn. To make the top, I used an organic cotton weave which I dyed turquoise jewel. This fabric is lightweight and super breathable. For the contrast neckline and flounces, I used this gorgeous deep army green cotton/linen blend with embroidered eyelet. I then peyote stitched a Brazilian agate cabochon at the neckline, using lavender opalesque seed beads. This blouse would best fit someone 35-38 at the bust. The length from shoulder top to bottom flounce is 39 inches and the sleeves rest just below the elbows.
Please keep in mind when purchasing that these garments are hand-dyed; therefore color variation and random pattern is natural, okay. Thanks so much!

"Sugaree" Seminole Smocked Apron
Hey there pretty mamas! This smocked apron is so comfy, practical, & plum full of Earthy goodness! It's perfect for everyday! Wear the apron with or without a blouse underneath!
I used a cotton calico oatmeal duck cloth, some cream homespun cotton, an earthy deep olive green cotton, and cotton crochet lace, which I dyed chocolate mousse. I smocked the front panel of the apron and added a small seminole strip along the bottom, which connects to the peek-a-boo crochet trim that wraps around the apron. The open back closes with two sets of cotton ties, which I finished off with matching wooden beads. The blouse is meant to fit comfortably loose and measures 36 inches across the bodice, fitting someone 32-38 at the bust.
For this apron, I used a bunch of yummy scraps I have been saving up for some time now. I used the fabrics to create random patchwork for the bottom of the apron. In the center of the bodice, I peyote stitched a beautiful petrified palmwood cabochon using antique gold glass seedbeads. At the bottom of the apron, I added some flocked eyelet trim, along with HANDMADE brown calico and navy calico scalloped trim. To make the trim, I stitched a scalloped border along some strips of fabric and then cut away the excess to make the ruffles! It was time-consuming but oh so fun and worth it!
The apron bodice measures 32 inches from loop to loop and has a stash pocket inside. The top should fit someone 32 inches and up, depending on how much back you wanna tease those dirty hippie boys with. *WINK*WINK* The length of the apron, from bodice top to hem is 19 inches long. The spin of the apron bottom is 57 inches round.
This here is a comfy nursing top for you new mamas! While shopping around for nursing tops, I found that many fit like big ol' bags, and the last look we want after birthin' is to look like a big ol' bag! That's no fun! So I reversed the criss cross apron tunic to create an opening at the front instead of the back!
This blouse is made from a soft light sage green home spun cotton, with an applique lotus made from hemp, hemp/cotton blends, organic cotton, and linen. The blouse buttons at each shoulder top (underneath on the right side) for easy access with wooden buttons hand-dyed cherry. The blouse splits at the front to make nursing a snap! There are two front pockets with matching wooden cherry dyed buttons. At the back of the blouse top, I repeated the mauve center piece of the twelve petalled lotus applique.
This blouse is made to fit a mama 32-36 at the bust. It measures 40 inches at the bust, and the length from shouldertop to hem measures 27 inches long.

Lately, I have found myself resorting back to the good ol' punk days, which has inspired me to work with argyles and plaids, and as some of our wonderful stitchin' sisters begin steering our little underground subculture fashion to knits, I too have fell in love working with knit fabrics. Aside from making a couple of dresses a few years ago, I haven't really had much experiences in working with these fabrics...it is so much fun to learn something new! I hope you enjoy my new line.
This comfy little blouse is made from a grape cotton ribbed kit and recycled chocolate jersey knit. The center of the blouse features an argyle strip, which I created using wool scraps and two yarns that I stitched in place with decorative stitching. There are two cozy hand cuffs with thumbholes at the bottom and a snuggly hood, which I topped off with a cowry shell handmade pompom tassle. I continued the yarn embelishment along the hood and sleeve cuffs.
The blouse would best fit a S-M-L. Unstretched, the bust measures 35 inches across. The length of the blouse from shoulder top to hem is 22 inches, and the sleeve length measures 25 inches, including the cuffs.

Inspired by the beautiful works of Kristie at The Velvet Plume (formerly Gathered Roots), I created this elfin hoody top with a bit of my own flavor. If you've never seen her work, you MUST stop on by!!!
To make this cozy hoodie top, I used a yummy chocolate brown organic cotton ribbed knit, a beautiful salmon organic cotton pique, and a recycled rusty peach cotton pique (there is some wear discoloration on the cuff seam area of the recycled pique (see pics), but it is barely noticeable with wear. I had little to work with...lol!
For the hood, empire, and cuff detailing, I hand-twisted the brown ribbed knit to create a funky texture. Though this technique takes quite a bit of time, I enjoy working with it, and I love the finished texture it creates. We used this technique on sleeves in our Rennaissance costuming at the theatre costume shop!
This top would best fit a M-XL. Unstretched, the bust area measures 34 inches and stretches to 40 inches. The length from shoulder top to bottom hem is 26 inches, and the bottom circumference unstretched measures 44 inches and has side slits. I enjoyed making this swing smock so much! Layer this one over a turtle neck or your favorite long sleeved tee to help keep you cozy during those chilly days!
To make this top, I used an organic cotton gauze in hemp seed, along with a raisin mauve and smokey taupe cotton gauze. The smock is adorned with vintage mauve wooden buttons and hand-dyed cotton crochet lace trim. The colors are MUCH MORE EARTHY than the pics display. The flutter sleeves and V-back ruffle will making you feel like you're flirting with faeries when you wear this top!

"Up in the Air" Chevron Apron W/Peyote Cabochon Detailing
Heya mamagurl! This apron top will bring you back to the days of fruit stripe bubble gum and sugary sweet tarts. To make this one, I used a soft and lightweight striped cotton gauze for the skirt of the apron, along with a recycled sparkly blue flannel for the straps and border trim, a blue striped i-kat, bubble gum pink cotton batik, and a stripey pink light weight gauze for the cinch pockets and chevron patchworked strip on the bodice.
The center of the bodice is detailed with a peyote stitched jasper cabochon, that I handstitched with glass seedbeads and hand folded brass beads. There are two cute little cinch pockets finished off with wooden beads. There is a petite ruffle along the bottom hem of the apron skirt, constructed from the i-kat and striped pink gauze to finish it off and give a little extra sugary sweet goodness.
The apron bodice measures 34 1/2 inches across from loop to loop. The length from bodice top to bottom hem is 20 inches.
This apron was inspired by the love my husband and I share. As an Aries and Pisces couple, you'd think we wouldn't mingle well, but this apron reflects how fire and water can harmonize as papa bear and I do.
The apron is constructed of recycled fabrics remaining from the shirts I used to make thelittle camper pants, along with an Earthy Guatemalan cotton.
The center of the bodice is detailed with cowrie shells and a tiny handfolded brass bead that I handstitched to add a little Aries/Pisces flair. There are two cute little cinch pockets finished off with cowrie shells, too. There is a petite ruffle along the bottom hem of the apron skirt, constructed from recycled seersucker and the same recycled striped brown and light blue fabric I used for the chevron patchwork detailing strip that runs throught the bodice.
The apron bodice measures 33 1/2 inches across from loop to loop. The length from bodice top to bottom hem is 19 inches.
This simple and snuggly babydoll tube is easy to wear with most anything and can be worn with a strapless bra. To make the blouse, I used licorice black organic cotton jersey, soft red organic cotton jersey, marigold cotton ribbed knit, and green cotton stretch knit.
The strapless bodice will be adjusted to fit free of charge, up to 40 inches. As of now, the bodice measures 32 inches unstretched. The babydoll style with a fitted waistband sits nicely, even for the preggo mamas (my model Jess has just entered her second trimester). The length of the blouse, from bodice top to cuff bottom is 20 inches, and the band measures 35 inches unstretched.
This cozy blouse is constructed from an Earthy striped cotton gauze, organic cotton homespun, vintage cotton crochet lace trim at the sleeves, and a vintage butterfly doily, which has been appliqued by my loving hands at the bodice.
The blouse can be worn separately or over a long sleeved tank, making this a perfect addition to a full season wardrobe. The bottom is very adjustable by tying the sides. It measures 80 inches at the bottom, which tapers upwards, making the waist area approximately 68 inches. The sides drape a bit longer, allowing you to knot both sides for a comfortable fit, without pulling at the shape.
The circumference under the arms measures 40 inches round. Across the shoulders measures 15 inches across. The length from center bodice to hem is approximately 22 inches long and gradually gets longer at the sides.
The top would fit many sizes, ranging from S-XL. Lisa, my model is 34 at the bust and wears a medium; and I am currently 38 at the bust, wearing a maternity large, at 23 weeks pregnant. The top fits both of us comfortably!!!
What I've made for you here is a hooded shrug top, upcycled from a navy blue tee, a recycled tie dye top, an organic cotton orchid sweater knit, a rust and grey sweater knit, a grape one-sided heather fleece, and dusty blue fur.
If you're a dready like me, you know how awkward and constricting a hooded top can feel sometimes! So...I created an open-back hood that allows your long hair or dreads to flow!
The Cloe-styled shrug adjusts with organic cotton orchid ties finished off with wooden beads. The stripes continue along the bottom, making this top sit at the hips.
This top would best fit a M-XL. Broad shoulder display the shoulder area best. Please take note of the measurements to insure a perfect fit.
Unstretched, the top measures 16 1/2 inches across the shoulders. The bust area measures 35 inches unstretched. I would say this would best fit someone 34-38 inches at the bust comfortably. The length of the sleeves from shoulder seam to cuff is approximately 22" long, and the length of the top, from center front to bottom hem is 25 1/4" long.
